CHICKEN POX VACCINATION
Chicken Pox can be prevented by vaccination
It is not currently part of the routine childhood immunisation schedule in the UK, however is given routinely in other parts of the world such as USA & Canada.
The vaccination can be given to children over 9 months old and up to the age of 65
You can still be vaccinated up to THREE days after exposure to chicken pox
Requires TWO doses - however once 2 dose course is complete no further boosters are necessary
